Mexico Chiapas SHB EP
SCAA 83 Points
Mild Acidity / Medium Body
Notes of cocoa, nuts, and sugarcane
We enjoy Mexican origins for their versatility and subtle flavors. This coffee comes from Chiapas region in southern Mexico whose nutrient-rich, volcanic soils, canopies and high elevations make for a unique bean.
Chiapas coffee is well renowned and contributes to over 60% of Mexico's total coffee production. The coffee is SHB / Strictly Hard Bean which means it is grown at high altitudes which results in a slower process of ripening, denser beans and rich flavor profiles. Once roasted, the coffee becomes a delightful mix of toasted nuts with hints of cocoa.
